CSI-Kenya
As CEDAR Foundation approaches its 4th year in Kenya, CSI-Kenya has fully funded its 100 Secondary School scholars who will graduate late in 2009. Then, they will join the roster of 500 wonderful young women who will be on full CSI scholarships to post-secondary institutions across Kenya.
These bright, talented women study the full range of academics - engineering, medicine, education, communications, business/accounting, tourism management and nursing.
To educate the poor young women of Kenya is to bring economic and social progress to the country in the most powerful and effective way. It is widely agreed in the world of international development that the education of women is a major remedy in the struggles against poverty, disease and violations of human rights.
CEDAR Foundation makes every attempt to support and guide these young women as they move towards positions of strength, independence and leadership.
