CEDAR Foundation commits to fund all of the costs (from primary school through college/university) of a high-quality education for all of the boys resident at SCANN for many years to come.

Street Children’s Assistance Network of Nakuru (SCANN)

SCANN (Street Children's Assistance Network of Nakuru) stands out as a leader in social intervention. Since 1998, SCANN has provided a caring home and healthy environment for street children and orphans whose lives were marked by glue-sniffing and crime. Over time it has evolved into a dynamic programme providing for the health, safety, recreation and education of 145 former street boys ranging in age from 3 to 18 years of age.

As part of the rehabilitation programme, intensive training in acrobatics, martial arts and sports has created and exciting atmosphere of energy, challenge and competition. As personal confidence and pride have grown, so too have academic results and success. It is the expectation that all SCANN boys will graduate college/university and with several now in their post-secondary placements, lives are undergoing major change. CEDAR Foundation's partnership with SCANN is a source of great joy.
